Stream Lightning… and Other Fears
In Kenny's own words, his first EP is “a collection of songs that represent the journey of being coddled by fear to being healed by love”. Lightning… and Other Fears was released in June 2022 and contains 5 songs infused with elements of pop, folk, EDM, and ambient, all written, produced, and performed by Kenny.
The project was conceived during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, when Kenny decided to shift gears and focus 100% on his original music after the cancellation of many theatre productions in which he would feature as an actor, music director, or accompanist.

About Kenny
Kenny Hayes is an award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter and independent recording artist based in Ottawa who has gained thousands of listeners and streams since the release of his first EP Lightning… and Other Fears in 2022.
Throughout 2020 and 2021, Kenny performed 25 livestreamed concerts on his Facebook page, reaching an audience of more than 55,000 viewers. The Physical Distancing Sessions granted Kenny the Shine On Award, a recognition for its contribution to the well-being of Ottawans during the pandemic.
Kenny has performed his original tunes to live audiences at venues such as the Fairmont Chateau Laurier, LIVE! On Elgin, TD Place, and The Painted Lady (Toronto). He is currently a regular in the Ottawa live music scene, with many gigs booked until the end of 2023.

Kenny Hayes was the music performer on Rogers' Daytime Ottawa on June 2, 2023. The artist sang his latest single "My Mind Goes Like (Nanana)" as part of a segment promoting a fundraiser concert for the Dementia Society.
The concert will take place at Orpheus Musical Theatre (17 Fairmont Ave.) on June 24, 2023 and will feature Kenny as one of its acts.

Kenny Hayes is one of the songwriters of "All My Days", single released by Canadian singer Alex Diab in February 2023.
Kenny and Alex met in the local Ottawa music scene, where they both perform regularly, and their mutual admiration for their creative work resulted in this fun and upbeat collaboration.
